DR MERRITT HAS RETIRED FROM PRIVATE PRACTICE.  YOU CAN GET RECORDS TRANSFERRED BY CALLING CINDY @ 575-762-8000.  THANK YOU FOR BEING A PATIENT.   As a dentist, I am committed to providing comprehensive, ethical patient care. To do anything less is unacceptable to me as a professional and as an individual. I believe in treating the whole patient, not just caring for their oral health, helping them learn to make healthy decisions and develop good habits that improve both their oral cavity and their overall body health.

The connection I am able to establish with each patient, many of whom have been with our practice for years, is one that becomes a real relationship. I look forward to their appointments and our conversations. From each person I learn something: about the world, about myself, about how others move through their lives. Those lessons are vital, and keep me growing as a dentist and as a person.

Education and Commitment to Continuing Education

  • Bachelor of Arts, University of New Mexico
  • Master of Arts, Eastern New Mexico University
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery, University of Missouri Kansas City

Every year I attend the American Dental Association, New Mexico Dental Association, and Eastern New Mexico Association meetings, in order to take advantage of the continuing education offerings provided at these gatherings. I also attend the American Institute of Oral Biology sponsored by Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, which brings in speakers on the forefront of dental research, and I participate in the Spear Education workshops, seminars, and faculty club, too. These activities keep me abreast of the latest technological, medical, and treatment developments in oral healthcare, ensuring I am able to provide my patients with the most effective treatment options available.
